Okay, bcos Chinese New Year is bout less than 24 hours away, I figured it will be good to finish off my 'Happy Christmas & Merry New Year!' post. Hehe.
With Jia Hui at the Medical Museum
After Christmas, I pretty much bummed around for a few days due to the festive mood. And then, thank God something in me shook and woke me up in realisation that exam was only a few days away.
Inspired from Dr. Gregory House
And so my optimism yet again caused me trouble when I finally realised that I will need to buck up and stop being so optimistic if I would want to look forward to surviving my Semester 1 exam.
On the eve of my exam, I wasnt convinced that I was prepared enough to face my 1st exam in medical school. And so, I stayed up studying and finally konk-ed and had 3 hours of sleep before exam.
Oh, and I forgot to mention. My exam was on New Year's Eve.
Exam. Confident. Feedback session. Dumbfounded. Die.
Feedback session is a slot where we will all proceed to a lecture hall and the lecturer will show us the answer to the questions for the exam paper we just sat for. Not only it's bad enough to have our exam on New Year's Eve, but we also already know our results on the very same day.
After emo-ing for a while in uni, I was on the lrt heading to Times Square. After all that studying, I just couldnt wait to PARTEY the night away!!!
Met up with Alex and then we were on our way to Sg. Long to pick Jamie and Yvonne up. It took us bout 3 hours if I'm not wrong, to get to Sg. Long and back to Times Square.
Met up with the others, had dinner at Kiku Zakura and went to Cold Storage to get some booze. Alex booked us a suite at the Times Square hotel.
Absolutely beautiful! The toilet is so beautiful! I can just live in there. But I will have to pay $600 a night to do so.
Then when it was about time, we left the suite and headed to Sg. Wang for the countdown. We bought those party foams, 1 can each. Honestly it wasnt enough! Next year at least 2 cans each!
Bout 10 minutes before midnight, we reached Sg Wang. Squeezed through the crowd to get as close to the stage as possible. And then not long after that the countdown started and..
Everyone sprayed party foam into the air. WOOHOOO!!!! I was so excited that I got chocked on the foam while screaming.
Fireworks
Jamie, Terri & Alex (we lost the others)
We went back to the suite and that's when the real party started! Games. Booze. Booze. Booze. Woozy. Bully Weng Keet. Laugh. Die.
Due to exam, I forgot my camera, but that's really okay, because Jamie and Grace brought their DSLRs!
But the only photo I got was this
Drink Drank Drunk. The party ended at 6am. As I only had 3 hours of sleep before exam, I managed to get some sleep. But for only 2 hours. Cos I felt like puking lying on my back. 13 of us in a room, you can imagine how we tried to find a spot to sleep.
Hangover.
Those that were up and also those that havent slept yet, walked to Imbi for breakfast. Where we ended up having the worst breakfast ever. Soya bean tasted like almond juice. Kolo mee tasted like oyster sauce.
Elaine puked.
We then watched 'Around the World in 80 days' on TV. And fell asleep. And at last at around 4pm, we bade our suite farewell.
And with that,
We officially welcomed our New Year.
