I'm back to cover the 2nd part of the fashion show!

Where did we stop? Oh yes.

 

During the intermittence, Prem & Jules of the Fly FM Morning Crew came on stage to rave-up the partey! So they called up 6 guys to play a game. Simon Seow was one of the first to jump up on stage. Another guy was Maya's boyfriend whom the crowd fondly refers to as 'Sayang~'

They were required to CATWALK and POSE. Our Sayang~ won the catwalk and some beauty products =D

Of course, Prem wouldn't let the girls go without making them play a game as well. Not just a game. He wants them to pole dance..

On 2nd thought, don't tell me. Hahahahaha. It would be better =P

I tell you, the girls jumped on stage so quickly that I thought my eyes were cheating me. Like WHOA! These girls are party animals I tell you!

After 3 girls pole dancing on Prem, Jules decided that Prem has had enough. With much dismay from Prem, they called up 3 guys to replace Prem instead!

1 guy was ready and quick enough. Another 2 needed much persuasion both from the deejays and the crowd. Zhao included haha.

Soon after that, Elaine Daly got on stage once again and warmed up the runway for girls wearing Red Lantern Studio!

There was another short intermittence for the girls to prepare for their next walk. As we waited, I saw a couple of people behind me snapping away with their cameras.


Ahh.. I remember those A-level days when I used to watch MDG faithfully, and discussing it with SheaLeen.

We have been standing bout a meter from them from the start, but there were too many people and didn't wanna leave that spot.. so I snapped a photograph of them of them being photographed instead.

After the girls catwalked gracefully to the backstage, all the bloggers and press photographers retreated from the zone as well and started mingling around and taking photographs with each other. There was supposedly free flow of drinks that night, but when we got there, the free flow has stopped. A little too early I must say.

Anyways, the girls started coming out from the backstage, and hung out with their fans, friend and family. Same goes with Elaine Daly. Unfortunately, only Fiqa from MDG 1 stayed back. Adeline and Jay were not in sight : /

That did not mark the end of the night. The aftermath next. Stay tuned!

Ahoy boys and girls!

Last Monday on the 16th, I went to Mist Club for the Malaysian Dreamgirl Top 12 Showcase.

We arrived at Mist Club, Bangsar around 6pm. Still very early. Dropped Sharlene and her sis off and made our way to McDonalds for a quick dinner.

When we got back, the place's jam-packed with cars. Couldn't get a a parking lot nearby and even the Valet parking is full. However, managed to get a decent parking not too far off from Mist Club.

Collected our VIP passes  (woots!) and Hewlett-Packard goodie bags as soon as we got there. Made our way into the Club but didn't have much going except for people standing around tables and the DJ doing his thing, so we went around taking photos and adjusting our digital cameras settings. Trust me, we took some time trying to get it right by taking lotsa trial and error photos. How to handle DSLR lah like that? *wonders if I can borrow the Photography Club's DSLR next time*

'ME, yours truly, Terri Chan Tien Leng managed to snag the best position ever. I was standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE RUNWAY. Like yeah, with my digital camera.' 

Woohoo!

I was a little unsure whether to continue standing there. Like wth right, all I have is a digicam redeemed from RealRewards. I felt so unfit to snatch that privilege of grabbing the best photographer's spot. Besides, a member of the press almost got into a quarrel with another official photographer for standing inside the designated perimeter. 'Get me the organisers! Next time don't invite us to cover!'  And I was standing right between them..

I guess I owe you guys with at least a good picture-filled post.

Anyways,  Suresh insisted that I should stay where I was until the event ends. Soon enough, Elaine Daly walked up the runway and started the show.

So ladies and gentlemen, sit back and relax.

We were entertained by a belly dance performance during the intermittence. While I looked on, I was wondering if I can lose weight belly dancing. Don't laugh.

Then the girls came back on the runway, this time not modeling the clothes on them not themselves, but the Hp gadgets by the sponsors.

Depression: Malaysian Dreamgirl @ Mist Club

On Monday, I went to the ABSOLUTEST, ULITIMATEST, BESTEST, MOST HAPPENING event of the year...

THE MALAYSIAN DREAMGIRL TOP 12 FASHION SHOW!

I was having a rather busy week with many mishaps and mental fatigue that I was having constant violent mood swings. I can be very chatty, hyper and super happy which can be kinda scary at times. Then there'll be a sudden sharp drop, and I'll retreat and indulge in the sweet melody of silence and bitterness. Shoo-ing everyone away with that stoned face of mine.

Last Friday I was forced to wake up at 6am to go for pathology lab session. But it was raining so heavily, so my mom sent me to uni instead. What a good way to start the day with. 

AND THEN SURESH SMS-ED ME

'..Are you in class?..'
'..I am having lab now.. y ar?..'
'..Are you free on Monday? I have 2 VIP passes to the Malaysian Dreamgirl Top 12..'

AT THAT MOMENT I FELT THAT HEAVEN WAS SHINING IT'S SPOTLIGHT ON ME

I was looking forward to it the whole time. Although between the time I got his SMS and the actual event itself.. there were tonnes of things that happened. Like going to my friend's party on the wrong day.

NEXT THING I KNOW IT WAS MONDAY ALREADY. THE DAY.

The day started off perfectly 'well' with my phone line barred. 'nuff said for that.

I thought my class would end at 1pm, and have plenty of time to take the train home and get ready. But I'd forgotten bout my group discussion at 2pm. Usually it would end at 2.30pm. But when I was trudging my way towards the discussion rooms, my friend told me that it has been postponed to 2.30pm. And then at 2.30pm, there was a blackout and my facilitator went up to the management and complained. By the time my discussion was over and arrived at the train station, it was around 3.15pm.

The initial plan was to have satay at 3.30pm and leave at 4.30pm to fetch Sharlene and her sis.

The train that was scheduled to arrive at 3.25pm only arrived at 3.50pm. I got back home, hopped into a taxi, the taxi had to be restarted at one point due to the professional driving of the lady taxi driver and got charged rm10! Which I paid only rm7 (usual price) after some persuasion.

Reached home. Discovered that the skirt I was planning to wear was too tight due to my weight gain. And I settled with a pair of old jeans instead.

When Suresh came to fetch me, it was raining and so I grabbed an old umbrella and when i wanted to close it, the plastic thingy started disintegrating and yeah, there was a little hoo-hah that time.

BUT IT'S OKAY BECAUSE I'M GOING TO MIST CLUB TO SEE THE DREAMGIRLS.

We collected our MEDIA passes and goodie bags. ME, yours truly, Terri Chan Tien Leng managed to snag the best position ever. I was standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE RUNWAY. Like yeah, with my digital camera.

The stage was awesome with cool lights flashing all over the runway. I was pretty stoned due to tiredness but I was enjoying the bass controlling the beats of my heart, mesmerized by the flashing lights and observing other bloggers and members of the press.

The girls did their thing. Strutting up and down the runway with their super high heels. Wearing designer clothing and lingerie. Struck us photographers with electrifying poses. BAM BAM BAM!

It was an awesome night.

Although I was very tired, but I was feeling on top of the world the next morning at 8am. I was even laughing with Wesley and Kian on some disgusting occurences taking a crowded KTM ride. Like your face falling into people's armpits when the train stops.

I skipped my Pharmacology lectures. And went back home to sleep.

It was a pretty good day. I took some photos of the media pass I got from that night. And I remembered looking through the photos I took and was pretty impressed by them thinking that those are pretty good shots.

AND THEN WHEN I WANTED TO TRANSFER THE PHOTOS INTO THE COMPUTER.

' H: has not been formatted. Do you want to format now? '

I think I am jinxed.

p/s: I was very depressed, you have no idea.

Update: I am recovering the photos now. Fingers crossed.

I came back..

..and saw the computer still on. So I guess I'll just drop a quick note over here.

I was out since 6.45am for the Complementary Medicine Workshop at UM. Then.. I took a cab at 2pm to Midvalley and checked out the education fair with my bro. Stuffed ourselves in the train at 7.15pm. Reached Kajang at 7.45pm. Showered. Drove 30 minutes to Preya's house in Semenyih for her 21st bday bash. Drove 30 minutes back to Kajang. And finally got back home at 1.30am.

Add another 5 hours and it will be 24 hours.

Still doesnt beat my record of not sleeping for 38 hours. That's in camp, not lazing around at home alright.

Don't think I can do much of this anymore, this battered body is getting too old. Zzzzz... So tired.

To fill the space

I'm skipping my Pharmacology lecture now cos it's not beneficial. (better than saying 'a waste of time' right)

I am going for an interview later bcos I applied to volunteer in Cambodia/Vietnam/India by the IMU Community Service Club.

After that I'm going to Midvalley to meet my mom and bro. He's going for this acne treatment.. so I guess my mom and I will be shopping? hehe..

Later at night I'll be going to Preya's 21st Birthday Bash! Woohoo!

Tomorrow I'll be going to UM for a traditional medicine workshop.

And then I'll be going to MV for an education fair with my bro.

***

Sunday Morning I'll be going to Church.

Then I'll be meeting up with Anul & Eling.

And at night, we'll be having a choir pot luck gathering at my place.

I need to do a promo vid and poster for the photography club outing to zoo negara during the weekend. And then.. I guess we're gonna go class to class to promote.

Time to study? Im trying to scrape whatever time i can get. But for now, I havent even finished 3 sets of notes. I have about 10 sets of notes per week, so by now i would already have about 60 sets of notes.

But anyhow, Nothing is Impossible. Die die also must study, no other option. unless I wanna fail that is. I think my parents will tell me to go 'mengemis' if I ever fail. Haha..

Hey there everyone,

Its a charity project brought to you by Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management of Sunway University College. Come lets lend a helping hand to the School of Act which is located at Jinjang Utara, Kepong.

Founded by: Pastor Jonathan

Objectives:-

-Help put children back in school
-Raise funds for long houses
-Pay monthly bills, school fees, food and other everyday expenses and necessities.

Event Details:
The trial baking is just a simple process in showing how to bake and decorate a cupcake.

The themes for workshops are:-

1. True Love (14th March)
2. Flower Power (21st March @ 1300)
3. Healthy Lifestyle (Carrot and Raisins on 28th March @ 1300)

One session costs RM 30 but if you join 2 sessions at a time it costs RM 50 only.
